COVID-19 POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

- Plastic Surgery in Mexico City -

EFFECTIVE APRIL, 2020

COVID-19 Statement for plastic surgery in Mexico

Top Plastic Surgeons Mexico will be resuming all operations as of June, 2020.
While the course of this COVID-19 storm is constantly evolving, our relentless commitment to you and your families remains the same.
We want to reassure you that we are doing our part to mitigate the spread of this pandemic and, above all, to ensure the health and safety of our staff and international patients.
Based on recommendations set by state Mexican government, precautionary and preventive measures have been immediately instituted and enforced indefinitely, to ensure and maximize the safety and well-being of our national and international patients, medical team and all associated staff.
Although sanitation, decontamination and surgical grade cleaning protocols are strictly followed every day, multiple times per day, we will be incorporating additional advanced technologies, supplemental & professional cleaning crews and evidence-based, infection prevention techniques to ensure our facility is a safe for each and every one of our patients and staff.

Your safety is our number one priority! In order to ensure health and safety, we are establishing new safety measures as follows:

HEALTH SCREENING
All of our staff members are regularly tested for Covid-19 and receive continuous training on containing the virus.
Patients must have a negative Covid-19 polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test in Mexico, the day of their surgery. Our staff will gladly coordinate this test locally for the international patients. The cost of the test is of US$30.
Upon entering the clinic, all staff, patients, and vendors will have their temperature checked. Those with a temperature of 100.4 or higher are not permitted to enter the facility and are encouraged to undergo Covid-19 testing.

MAINTAINING A CLEAN AND SAFE ENVIRONMENT
All hospital, administrative personnel and medical staff will be wearing adequate PPE, including masks, for the entirety of their work shifts. All healthcare providers, surgical teams and office staff will be tested before returning to work and will be assessed and evaluated on a daily basis (includes routine screening of all staff members, healthcare providers, delivery personnel, maintenance and housekeeping crews, etc.).
Any person entering the facility is required to wear a mask that fully covers the nose and mouth. Our staff and patients will be adhering to social distancing guidelines in our consultation, exam and administrative areas.

LIMITING CAPACITY AND MAINTAINING SOCIAL DISTANCING

Only patients and essential staff are currently permitted inside the clinic. Once inside, we ask that patients please maintain a safe social distance from others.
To limit the number of people inside the clinic, we ask that patients do not bring their friend(s) / family to appointments. Patients will ONLY be seen alone. No companions are permitted in our facility.

All patients will be screened before their arrival for either consult, surgery or follow-up for symptoms of COVID-19 disease and any possible history of exposure.

Temperature checks and masks will be required before entering the facility. Masks must fully cover the nose and mouth. Patients are to alert our staff if they do not have their own mask.

Our hospitals provide hand sanitizer near entrances and exits to all rooms, which we encourage patients to use upon arriving to the clinic and frequently throughout your visit.
