What is the Inner Thigh Lift procedure?
The loosening of the skin fat in the legs is a common and unsightly symptoms.
This excess skin can cause aesthetic damage and functional (discomfort felt during movements, irritation...)
Several sources are possible:
- Reduction of the elasticity of the skin
- Loss Muscle volume
- Excess skin after weight loss
In general, a thigh Lift / dermolipectomy is associated with a liposuction the area.
Before the Inner Thigh Lift
The motivations and requests of the patient will be analysed during the preoperative consultation with the surgeon.
No medication containing aspirin should be taken within 10 days before surgery.
Stopping smoking is obligatory before surgery.
Anaesthesia for Inner Thigh Lift
Inner Thigh Lift can be carried out under local anaesthesia with sedation or general anaesthesia.
How long does Inner Thigh Lift take?
Depending on the surgeon, the extent of improvement, the procedure can last from 1h30 to 2h30.within the nose.
How visible will Inner Thigh Lift scars be?
Large incisions can be made to remove inner thigh excess skin; however, our plastic surgeons always do their best to minimize the appearance of scarring, and most patients find that they are willing to deal with scarring (that can typically be hidden by clothing) to enjoy the beautiful results of a thigh lift.
When possible, incisions are made in discreet areas (in case of limited thigh lift), the patient may only require a shorter incision beginning at the groin, and extending only part way down the thigh so that it can be covered underneath shorts or a skirt.
However, patients who have had significant weight loss will need a scar to extend from the groin all the way down the inside of the thigh towards the knee. The outer thigh is typically just improved with liposuction.
What is the recovery time healing process for a Inner Thigh Lift ?
After the procedure is completed, dressing or bandages may be applied to your incisions, and you may be wrapped in an elastic bandage or a compression garment to minimize swelling and to support your new contours as you heal.
One or more small, thin tubes may be temporarily placed under the skin to drain excess fluid or blood that may collect.
Thigh Lift recovery time is 3 - 5 weeks. We strongly recommend bed rest for the first 10 days--avoiding all movement to help speed up recovery time.
For this procedure you must stay a minimum of 12 days in Mexico. Following surgery, you should do the following:
Day 1 to 7 : Bed rest, walking only allowed to the bathroom
Day 7 to 10: Your surgeon will remove the compression garment and pads
Day 10 to 12: Compression garment is worn continuously
Day 12 to 14: Walking allowed inside your house
The first 12 days it is NOT allowed to sit
From day 14 you can return work
After 8 weeks you can resume regular activities.
How long after a Inner Thigh Lift do you start seeing results?
Within three to five months is required to have a good overview of the result, knowing that the final appearance will be obtained after 8 months to 12 months after surgery.
