What is the Buttock Augmentation / Brazilian Butt Lift procedure?

The motivations and requests of the patient will be analysed during the preoperative consultation with the surgeon.
No medication containing aspirin should be taken within 10 days before surgery.
Stopping smoking is obligatory before surgery.

Usually the procedure is done under general anesthesia or epidural.
How long does Buttock Augmentation / Brazilian Butt Lift take?
The duration of the surgery varies based on several factors, including the amount of fat being removed, the technique used, and the size of the area being treated.
How visible will Buttock Augmentation / Brazilian Butt Lift scars be?
The Brazilian Butt Lift incisions are the same as used in liposuction, they are 2-3mm incisions that are placed on areas you can easily cover with underwear or a bikini.
Recovery and Healing after a Buttock Augmentation / Brazilian Butt Lift
Recovery Micro Fat Grafting Technique / Brazilian Butt Lift is generally an outpatient practice that is to say by day hospitalization with an exit on the same day after several hours of monitoring. There is no real pain. One to two days of rest are necessary before resuming a classic activity. The resumption of physical activity cannot be done within a month.

The location of the incision for inserting the implant can be problematic.
Infection is the most common complication following butt augmentation with implants. The risk is highest when incisions are made in the creases at the bottom of the buttocks or on the interior of the buttocks.
The high risk of infection
If an implant becomes contaminated with even a small amount of bacteria, it can become infected and must be removed. Failure to remove the infected implant can lead to the formation of abscesses and may even result in sepsis.
Sutures
Pulling and splitting of sutures are also potential risks associated with butt implants, which can lead to excessive scarring, improper healing, and infection.
Uncomfortable
Placing a large, solid silicone implant in one of the body's most susceptible areas to infection seems counterintuitive. Moreover, the sensation of sitting on an implant akin to George Costanza's overstuffed wallet would likely be uncomfortable and impractical.
Risk of chronic Pain
Nerve pain is another common risk associated with this procedure. Butt implants, are positioned in the tissues along the sciatic nerve. These implants can exert pressure on the nerve, potentially resulting in chronic pain, tingling, numbness, and other symptoms affecting the lower back, hips, legs, and ankles.
Downtime amount / Recovery time
In addition to the risks mentioned, buttock implant procedures entail a significant amount of downtime. While recovery time varies from patient to patient, it can take up to four to six weeks to achieve full healing. Throughout this period, patients must exercise caution and take measures to avoid applying pressure on the implants. The use of a donut cushion when sitting is necessary, and patients will need to sleep on their stomach or side for the duration of the recovery period.
Risk of Asymmetry
The buttocks area is prone to rapid changes with fluctuations in weight. Such changes can potentially disrupt the symmetry of the buttocks, causing the implant to appear misaligned and detracting from the desired results of the procedure.
Furthermore, there's a risk that a smooth implant could shift out of place over time when it’s sat on many, many times per day.
