The standard of healthcare in Mexico is one of the best in the world and this is not a coincidence if Mexico City (capital of Mexico) is consistently one of the top 5 medical tourism destinations in the world, year after year. There are many reasons why every year thousands of patients from all over the world choose Mexico to perform their surgery:

- Quality of Care & Personalized Care. Patients who travel to Mexico for plastic surgery often report that the quality of surgical care is best in class and when it comes to personalized care and attention from the doctor, is usually better than in their home country. Surgeons in Mexico invest more time with the patient and have more empathy and involvement with their condition. They also perform extensive and thorough check-ups and patients will not feel as rushed as they often do in the US.

- No barrier language

- The city is easily accessible by land and air

What is the Meaning of Board Certification?

A board certified plastic surgeon by The Mexican Board of Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery, assures that the doctor has graduated from an accredited medical school and has completed at least 6 years of additional training as a resident surgeon in a program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Medical Education. This includes a minimum of 6 years of residency training in all areas of surgery, including at least 3 years devoted entirely to plastic surgery. Certification is a voluntary process a surgeon seeks after this training.

To become certified, the doctor then must pass comprehensive written and oral exams.
