Thoughts raced through my mind: "What if Dr. Bernardo wasn't the right fit for me? What if he said there was nothing he could do?..." It might sound crazy, but this was all uncharted territory for me. During the reservation process, my oldest daughter decided to join me on this journey for moral support. I'm incredibly grateful she did because having family support and someone to assist you after surgery is invaluable.

I vividly remember my first day in Mexico when I met Dr. Bernardo for the initial consultation. He introduced himself, and we engaged in a simple conversation about my concerns, medical history, and aspirations. After a detailed explanation of the procedure, I got to try on breast implants. Opting for a natural look, we decided to go with round silicone breast implants. When I placed the implant in my sports bra and caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror, I can't begin to describe the overwhelming anticipation and joy I felt! Following the consultation, nervousness consumed me. It was hard to believe that my consultation took place the day I arrived, and my procedure was scheduled for the next morning.

Moving around was a bit slow, but the prescribed breathing exercises aided in regaining mobility. One week after the surgery,

the highlight of recovery arrived—the removal of my drains. Those surgical drains, although necessary to prevent fluid buildup, were indeed a hassle to deal with!

My entire journey in Mexico lasted about two weeks. Taking the necessary time off work was crucial, and it proved to be sufficient for recovery.

Fifteen days post-surgery,

I experienced minimal pain and swelling. However, my primary focus shifted to maintaining the fantastic results of my mommy makeover. Once back home, I was determined to follow every single instruction given to me.
